Nice to have you here on MSB! It's awesome that you are a guru in web development and internet marketing. I really struggle to get the right people to my site, and was wondering if you could give me some pointers?

At the moment I am just doing some marketing on facebook and I listed my business at a couple of directory websites.

Other than that, I don't really know what else to do. I haven't tried paid advertising on Adsense, scared that I might overspend and not get the traffic I require.

Hey Paul!

I am seriously confused as to what programs i should be using to design my website... I want to at least learn on my own, but everyone tells me Adobe Dreamweaver is a waste of time... can you reccommend any others?

Check out Joomla! Just do a search online and you will find tons of info. It all depends what your requirements are, but Jooma seems to be a great tool to create lots of functionality very easily. This is especially true as it is an open source program with hundreds of modules available for download.

Dreamweaver is a great program, but is intended more for professional web developers designing custom websites.

I'd say Wordpress is the easiest to use out of the box, there are good, free templates available.

Joomla is great, it is highly extensible and there are many good commercial template clubs around (same goes for WP). Joomla is a little more difficult to learn than Wordpress.
