Hi, my other recomemdation would be, though the other target market might be largely people who do no have access to the internet, use the internet as a networking tool. Those who have access will most likely talk (about your product, of course) to those who do not have access...
Give other people incentives, appoint them as distributors, this will help in the distribution of your product. Remember, it is better to sacrifice a bit of profit to allow someone else an opportunity to market your product by being able to keep the product with a reasonable profit margin(so that you and your distributor sell at the same price, therefore represenating the same "company"), then this person can reach people that you don't know and that you might not be able to reach. This is basically how most multi-level network, even traditional comapny structures work...(through distributors) ;)

@Konrad,

The power of marketing new products can usually be delivered through networking with similar distributors where you may be able to leverage your product with theirs.

Hi!,

The best way to market your product is in the daily newspapers. You must find the free ads and search online as well for the free ads section. Then promote your product by saying you are doing a giveaway promotion to the first 10 callers. That way you get many people calling in. Get the names and contact details for future marketing purposes and for your network of clients.

Sorry, but I must disagree with this. I have found that advertising in newspapers yields a low ROI.

Sure, if you're a plumber in a little town like Hermanus - then advertise in your local paper.

It all depends on the product. Still waiting for Konrad to explain his product to us so that we may help him.

I would suggest looking at all the ways in which you could generate leads...

Advertising, Networking, Social media, etc etc..

I help most of my clients come up with at least 10 ways to generate more leads.

It is very important that you keep track of where your leads are coming from!

step two is to convert those leads. Or at least a high percentage of them.

One further thing - To help you with your lead generation, you need to understand your typical client!

What Mark says is 100% correct and this leads to almost any product or service.

You MUST know your target audience.

Who is going to buy your product? Why are they going to buy it? What is the value for them in owning the product?

Focus on benefits and not features. Find out where your target market hangs out. Where do they normally buy from? Where do they network?

Once you know this you can start to formulate a marketing strategy and then apply the correct tactics. The pieces of the puzzle just fall into place after this.

Hope it helps.

Cheers.
