RECESSION OR BOOM – THE MARKETPLACE IS LOADED

It’s a laugh when people talk about how there’s no money out there during a recession. Are they kidding? Do they live on the moon? No money? Why, the marketplace is loaded.

Boom times and recessionary times are statistical terms used by economists to describe the enormous flow of capital and growth in this wealthy nation of ours. Don’t be spooked by the terms.

Let’s use an analogy to give a simplified example of what is happening during a recession. A powerful locomotive is barreling down the tracks at 120 km/h. It is fuelled by its own energy. Then, it slows to 100 km/h for a while before it picks up full steam again. Slowing the train to 100 km/h isn’t going to derail it. There’s no cause to panic. It’s still a powerful locomotive traveling at an incredibly high speed. It’s still a force to be reckoned with.

The same is with our economy. Any economy as diverse and abundant as ours that has a slight slow-down and operates at 80% efficiency is still pumping incredible amounts of money into the system.

There’s money and opportunity out there. Don’t be fooled or lulled into believing anything different. Learn to see it in its proper perspective and take full advantage of the present situation. Let others panic if they want to.

This also applies in my industries. There is always a willing buyer.

IMPRESSIONS COUNT

People judge you by what they know and what they see. And if they don’t know you, they judge you by what they see. Can you blame them?
Always put your best foot forward and present yourself in the best possible way.

Your office, your business cards, your clothes, your manner, your style --- it all counts. And don’t make that foolish mistake of thinking that your excellent service will, alone sway the deal. Impressions count, like it or not, so start impressing.

Have a Blessed day
