TOPIC: Best Credit Card Gateways in South Africa?

Best Credit Card Gateways in South Africa? 11 years 2 days ago #3444

Just started my own website to sell items. Have to say its extremely difficult to find information on this topic in the South African context that is reliable and usefull. Thanks for the updates and info. I have signed up to the forum just to reply (which i never do)

Im leaning towards Netcash as your experience with Payfast (2nd choice) seems a bit troublesome.

Please keep us updated on your progress.

Jo.

to be fair to PayFast I think that the issues were mostly because of 3D secure which isn't really their fault.

I don't remember what exactly Netcash offer, but the new 3.9% rate offered by PayFast is quite attractive.

Monsterpay used to charge 2.9%, but now it's 4.5%

I am using a Chase Credit Card. Can you please tell me is that PayFast 3.9% including the merchant account fee that the bank would take? Is there still that fee now? Do we need a merchant account?
