I am trying to calculate my taxable income.

I rent a flat. The lease is in my name and I pay the full monthly rental.

I rent out a room in the flat and my tenant pays me his monthly rental.

How is this rental income taxed? Is it deductible?

I would call that a re-imbursed expense, and therefore say that it doesn't affect your tax. Only if you have a home office, then you can claim home office expenses, meaning part of your rent can be claimed.

Hi

The owner who receives the money (rent) needs to declare the full amount.
You don't declare anything in your personal name.

It is just a re-imbursement of their part of the rent that you have paid to the owner.

So nothing on your tax return and if asked by anyone you share the rent and you just pay over everything and he pays his share of the rent into your account.

Keep it simple, unless the amount/profit is huge, just keep it as a re-imbursive amount and don't bother with the diclosure. If however you claim your rental at home against any business income it is a different matter.
