Hi I am considering using Google Adwords to generate leads. Have you got a success story to share, or some valuable advice? I'd love to hear it!

Also, any idea what kind of idea what a good conversion rate is?

I recently set up ecohub.co.za/shop - I started running an Adwords campaign for 2 products (juicers).

With a R2000 Adwords spend I have turned over R78000 in under 2 months.

You ask - what is a good conversion rate... well - that would really depend on what you count as a conversion?
Lead? Sale? I sometimes count a user navigating to a contact page as one of my conversions.

I set them up. I offer Adwords management as a service, I'm a Google Partner and have an account manager based in the UK that helps review and optimize my campaigns.

I don't think you can really say what a good conversion rate is - it depends on the nature of the business.

Some conversions might be worth R100, others might be worth 100k.

If my conversion value was low then I would expect a much higher conversion rate.
