Ok, so I'm planning to get a shopping cart software and I need your help, I'm undecided between IzzoNet and Magento.

Magento is an old time name that is very popular in the field of ecommerce while IzzoNet is a new company.

Magento has many extensions and many firms working with it and constantly developing new extensions, but eveyrthing with magento is costly, from the annual payment to each extension and many things need to be custom made.

IzzoNet has many features which Magento doesn't which are actually more relevant to my kind of business since I use drop shippers, and is based on a rather cheap monthly payment.

I am currently testing the free trial on IzzoNet, I love it, magento was kinda complicated in their free trial and they didnt offer such a great support.

I need professional help with this from people who have experience with both, Thnx!!

I own a few dosens of online stores, almost all of them were created via shopping cart software including Magneto, Vendio and Volusion. As an online seller like myself who's using dropshipping method I'm in a constant search of dropshipping software and to be honest they are all quite decent but Izzonet definitely stands out in terms of marketing tools, designs, user-freindli interface and I think..not sure that they are the only shopping cart software that has full suppliers integration. Magneto are pretty decent but as you said heavy an complicated.

Are you two here to market IzzoNet?

I have also worked on many eCommerce stores and have never heard of this package.

Looking at the websites of the two software providers - Magento is ranked 674 on Alexa and Izzonet only comes in at 769775 (01/05/2011).

When doing a Google search of izzonet vs magento, this website comes up first, although this topic is only a few days old. That tells me that Izzonet is a very new kid on the block and has not yet been compared to the major packages available.

I would have to agree on that having worked with Magento stores for a full year the software is waaayy too complicated and frustrating if you want to keep it simple, they have many plugins but Izzonet is much more advanced and yet simple and easy to work with. Anywayz..if it's your first online business, Good luck!

Izzonet is a new kid on the block, and not have been compared maybe before, it's what i ran into though, from personal recommendation and after looking at their website, they seem to be spot on for drop shipping.

I was using Magento for long long time until I had enough of their system and I paid a a good amount of money for a website building company to develop me a system customized to my needs.

Izzonet seems very similar to what I needed about drop-shipping, although I already have my own system I will take a look as it seems like they have a couple of unique marketing tools

i would go for magneto,as it is more user friendly and famous

I talked with izzonet live chat and asked them about the marketing tools and as a good intention they have opened in my trial the Coupon distributor and the YouTube video creator and uploader modules and let me tell you guys they both are really awesome

I'm sure gonna dig into it more closely and update about more modules soon

guys, Izzonet is no doubt a good shopping cart software and also Magento but there are more companies to consider. This is my list according to who's bet FOR MY OPINION..and I would be happy to hear your opinion on more companies:

4. Bigcommerce
5. Magento
6. Shopify
7. OScommerce
