About our Guest Speaker:

Leigh's passion for music and dance began in early childhood. Leigh was a ballet dancer for ten years and did piano for thirteen years. She has always loved music and has a fine ear for choosing the right music to suit her classes.

Since 2004, her love, passion, and guidance led her down a spiritual, shamanic and healing path which led her to study many techniques, learn from spiritual teachers and take part in various courses. In London in 2007, she joined a unique and very special dance group, which focused primarily on chakra dancing, goddess energy and feminine empowerment. This class inspired her to teach, and to combine healing and dance. This has been an evolving journey which has resulted in Journey through Dance.

Leigh has attended various intensive workshops with Movement Medicine from the U.K; a conscious movement & dance organisation in London, who have taught her the potent benefits of healing oneself through dance - shifting and clearing blocked emotions, working with the Elements, Mother Earth, and dancing from our core, our centre, our heart!

Leigh Goodman has a strong passion for Brazilian and Cuban Dancing and has taught the beautiful and very sexy dance ZoukLambada in Cape Town and London. These movements influence her classes in a unique manner, especially when working with Female Energy.

Designed to help people experience themselves in a different way, her dance workshops combine different approaches to healing. For example: Working with the Chakras, the Elements, Shamanic Transformational Healing and Feminine Empowerment. All of these gently guide the body into a meditative process through the use of physical movement. This helps people to experience themselves at a deeper level and to re-establish their connection with themselves and their environment.
